The Intensive Family Support Services program provides a comprehensive, individualized approach to meet the unique challenges of families in crisis. Combining intensive parenting classes, individual and family therapy, parent coaching, and therapeutic visitation, this all-inclusive service is designed to accelerate positive behavioral changes and support family reunification.

Before visitations, parents will spend time with a therapist to not only prepare themselves to prioritize their children’s needs and be fully present, but also to reflect on their own early attachment experiences. This process helps them recognize unmet attachment needs from their own childhood and understand how these unresolved issues shape their current parenting. By confronting and healing these emotional wounds, parents can begin to break harmful cycles and create healthier relationships with their children.

During these sessions, parents receive education, tools, and guidance to help them create a new, healthier narrative with their children. Under the guidance of a professional, they will have the opportunity to implement newly learned skills in real-time during visitations, reinforcing therapeutic progress and supporting deeper emotional connections.

This integrated approach reduces the burden on parents by eliminating the need to coordinate multiple service providers, while providing updates and reports from one centralized source, streamlining the case management process. By providing concentrated support, this program helps parents demonstrate behavioral change more quickly, enabling children to return home sooner, reducing time in foster care, and preserving the parent-child relationship.
